The Difference Between CBD and THC

The Difference Between CBD and THC

You’ve probably heard of the terms “CBD” and “THC,” but do you know what they are and what the difference between them is? If you’re interested in learning more about CBD, then you’ve come to the right place! In this blog, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about the difference between CBD and THC.

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is non-psychoactive (doesn’t produce a high or euphoric feeling). It can be derived from hemp or marijuana but is typically sourced from hemp.

What is THC?

Tetrahydrocannabinol, better known as THC, is psychoactive (produces feelings of euphoria otherwise known as a “high”) and is sourced from marijuana but can also be derived from hemp.

The Difference

CBD and THC are both compounds called cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant genus. Although both CBD and THC come from the same plant, they are very different and offer different effects.

An easy way to think about it is that unlike THC, CBD will not intoxicate you. In fact, most people use CBD because it doesn’t give you the “high” that THC does but still helps with pain management.

Benefits of CBD

Although more research is still needed to understand all of the benefits of CBD, it has been said to help with a long list of medical conditions. Most commonly, CBD can help manage symptoms and conditions such as:

  • PTSD
  • Anxiety
  • Pain and Inflammation
  • Epilepsy and Seizures
  • Crohn’s Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Cancers

How to Take CBD

You can consume CBD in several different ways. Most people think the only way to consume it is to smoke it, but that’s not the case. Here are some other forms for consumption:

At Vet CBD, our products are made of pure CBD oil, offering you the highest quality products. We truly believe in the various benefits CBD offers; however, we recommend talking to your doctor before consuming either one of these cannabinoids.
